At Arcochat, we believe your work, code, and intellectual property belong exclusively to you. Our workspace is built on a private by design architecture, ensuring your data is kept secure and isolated.

1. Key Storage & Encryption

Arcochat operates as a client-side BYOK (Bring Your Own Key) environment. This means:

• Your API credentials (for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.) are encrypted on-device.
• We do not store, proxy, or upload your keys to an Arcochat server.
• All model calls are routed directly from your client machine to the respective AI provider's API endpoints.

2. Data Handling & Security

Any project files, documents, and assets you load into your Arcochat workspace are processed locally:

• Vector Indexing: Workspace semantic search indexes are created locally on your device. We do not store your documents in a cloud database.
• Chat History: Your conversation history is saved locally within your sandboxed client storage.
• Model Training: Because you query providers directly using your own API credentials, your prompt data is subject to the direct terms of those providers (which typically exclude API payloads from model training).

3. Cookies & Analytics

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics scripts, or tracking pixels. The website is structured purely as a presentation layer for the desktop app showcase and demo. Your interactions are entirely private.

4. Third-Party Service Providers

When you use Arcochat to query model providers, your data is processed by the respective API providers you configure (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.). We recommend reviewing their respective privacy policies regarding API data retention.
